Qualifications & experience

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
  • Proficiency in Mechanical CAD Software (Solid Works preferred)
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment including supervising a workshop
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Liaising with internal & external stake holders such as suppliers, sub-contractors and clients.
  • Bridging the gap between production & engineering to ensure all projects meet the required specifications & timelines.
  • Ensuring successful and on time completion the company’s products, including – ease of service, testability & manufacture
  • Delivery of adequate & outcome-based support in the generation of parts replacement kits, design of spare parts kits – content and BOM.
  • Driving the standardization of processes and the implementation of metrics and best practice
  • Testing production procedures and equipment, writing test reports, and implementing Work Instructions to ensure that quality standards are maintained.
  • Analysis of manufacturing procedures against design specifications.
  • Working closely with engineering, production team members and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continual product improvement.
